University of Houston's College of Education is offering 3 virtual STEM and Coding academies

Hello Parents,

We'd like to inform you of the following opportunity available at the University of Houston. This summer, the University of Houston's College of Education offers three virtual STEM and Coding academies. Students in financial need, including those on Free and Reduced Lunch, can apply for full scholarships worth up to $350. Boys are welcome to attend Girls Coding Academies as well. Discounts are available for siblings and teachers.

VIRTUAL SUMMER CAMPS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON

Do you have a child interested in learning how to create 3D Modeling and Printing, learn programming through game design, learn how to code, develop digital stories, produce videos, and interact with computer science experts? The University of Houston STEM Center, in collaboration with the UH College of Education and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Data Science Institute at UH, is providing three VIRTUAL summer learning opportunities for students in grades 3-12. ITECH-STEM-Elementary School: July 12 – July 17, 2021

ITECH-STEM is a summer technology camp and an innovative program promoting/teaching Computer Science (CS) and Technology topics popular and emerging with a STEM focus. The ITECH-STEM involves the following Domains: Digital Storytelling, 3D-Printing, Coding with Scratch, Micro: bit Programming. New in 2021. Learn game design! ITECH-STEM is hosted by the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, College of Education, and UH-STEM Center. We teach students in grades 3-6th grade.
